Prediction markets at price
Prediction markets at price draws bets such as “Bitcoin above 90,000 USD on …” as yellow dashed lines at their price level. This shows you directly on the chart how likely the betting market considers each price. Betting markets on the Bitcoin price are shown, so it works on Bitcoin only.
What you see
Each line is a market with a price level and a direction (above or below the level). The label on the right edge reads something like “90K · 58% ↑ · Oct 31”:
- 90K: the price level.
- 58%: the probability the market gives to Yes, meaning the price of the Yes contract, rounded to whole percent.
- ↑ or ↓: whether the bet is on a price above (↑) or below (↓) the level.
- Oct 31: the day the question refers to; outside the current year, with the year.
If you move the crosshair onto a line, the market's question appears in the legend with its odds and venue.
How to read it
- Odds near 50% mean the market considers the level open for the named day. These lines tell you the most.
- Several levels with the same date together show what range the market expects for that day.
- The lines mix maturities, from the next day to months out. So always check the date on the line.
Limitations
- The odds reflect the opinion of the bettors and the liquidity of each market, not a forecast from mantacharts. Thinly traded markets can swing sharply.
- The entry has no settings of its own. The gear in the legend opens the “Prediction Markets” widget.
