Account & settingsSettings
Settings
The settings dialog page by page: profile, security, connections, keyboard shortcuts, referrals, release notes and subscriptions.
You manage your account in the settings dialog. Settings for the chart itself, such as candle colors or scales, aren't here. You'll find them in the terminal: right-click the chart → Settings… (on your phone, More → Chart settings).
Opening the dialog
- the Settings gear at the top right of the app bar
- an entry in the profile menu, for example Account settings or Keyboard shortcuts
- Ctrl/ (Mac: Cmd/) opens the keyboard shortcuts directly
- the super search (CtrlK): “Account settings”, “Security and sign-in”, “Connections”, “Show keyboard shortcuts”, “Referrals”, “Support center”, “Compare subscription and features”, “Open release notes”
- on your phone: Menu → Profile
The pages are on the left, with Sign out at the very bottom. On your phone, the pages sit in a bar above the content.
My information
In the dialog, this page is called Account settings, and it has three tabs.
Profile
- Profile picture: With Upload new, choose a PNG, JPEG or WebP image up to 15 MB. The terminal crops it to a square and saves it at 400 × 400 pixels.
- Username: comes from your Discord account and can't be changed here. Others see what you publish under this name.
- First name and Last name: your choice, up to 40 characters each. If they're set, the profile menu shows this name.
- Email: for display only.
Save changes applies the names, and the button then shows “Saved” with a check mark.
Security
- Sign out of all devices ends all your sessions, including the one on this device. The terminal asks first (“Sign out everywhere?”).
- Turn on 2FA enables two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app:
- Switch on Turn on 2FA.
- Scan the QR code with your app, for example 1Password or Google Authenticator, or type in the key below it (Copy puts it on the clipboard).
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app and click Confirm.
After that, mantacharts asks for the code every time you sign in. To turn it off, switch Turn on 2FA off again and confirm with a current code from the app.
Appearance
These settings apply to the charts outside the terminal, meaning the indicator workspace and the analysis charts:
- Crosshair: style (Cross, Vertical, Horizontal), solid instead of dashed, color
- Colors: Bullish and Bearish for candles, order book and trade tape
- Reset colors restores the default colors
In the terminal, you set this in the chart settings.
Connections
Discord
The card shows whether Discord is connected (“Connected as @name”). If it's your sign-in account, it can't be disconnected. Disconnect only works if you have another way to sign in. If Discord isn't connected, Connect Discord takes you to Discord.
With a connected Discord account, alerts can arrive as direct messages. Server roles matching your plan will follow later.
Alert channels
| Channel | What it does |
|---|---|
| Telegram | Alerts as messages from the mantacharts bot. You connect your account with a one-time code. |
| Alerts to your verified email address | |
| Push | Browser notifications on this device, even when the terminal is closed |
Connect and Disconnect turn each channel on or off. For push, your browser asks for permission first. If a channel says “Coming soon”, it can't be used yet. How to send alerts to these channels is explained under Alerts.
Trading
Hyperliquid: Enter your wallet address and click Connect. The connection is read-only, with no key and no signature: closed positions go into the journal, and open positions and orders appear on the chart and in the Paper trading widget. The card shows the address and when it last synced, plus Sync now and Disconnect. More under Connect Hyperliquid.
Bybit trading (API key) shows “Coming soon”. Trading from the chart isn't available yet.
Support center
- Contact opens the mantacharts Discord, where you can reach the team.
- View changelog jumps to the release notes.
- Join our Discord also opens the Discord server.
Keyboard shortcuts
Here you see all keyboard shortcuts in three groups: Chart & tools, Draw and Navigation. Search keyboard shortcuts… finds a shortcut by name or keys.
To change a shortcut:
- Click the shortcut in the Primary column. It now says “Press a key…”.
- Press the new key combination.
- Esc cancels, and Del or Backspace deletes the shortcut.
If the combination is already taken, the terminal shows which function it belongs to. Replace removes it there and gives it to the new function. Some keys are reserved and can't be assigned, for example Esc, Tab, Enter and the browser's shortcuts for tabs and windows, such as CtrlW or CtrlT.
- Secondary key bindings enables a second column, so you can give each function a second shortcut. It's off by default.
- A changed shortcut has a Reset to default button in its row.
- Reset all restores all shortcuts to their default keys.
Referrals
- Your referral code with Copy code, plus how many friends have joined (Total referrals) and how many of them are currently active (Active referrals).
- Redeem a referral code: Enter the code of the person who referred you and click Redeem. A code can only be redeemed once and can't be changed afterwards. You can't redeem your own code.
Release notes
All changes by version, with the newest marked Current. You can search for a feature and filter by All, New, Improved or Fixed. On the right, Versions jumps to a version.
Many entries say where the feature is, such as “Top bar › Snapshot”. Show closes the dialog and highlights the spot in the terminal, and Open opens the feature directly.
Until you've opened new release notes, the entry in the profile menu shows “New” and a yellow dot lights up on the avatar.
Subscriptions
At the top is your plan's card. With a subscription, it shows Plan (with monthly or yearly), Next payment with date and amount or, after a cancellation, Ends on, plus your Payment method. Below that:
- Payment method and invoices: change your payment method, download invoices.
- Choose a smaller plan: switch to a smaller plan or to monthly payment at the end of the period.
- Cancel contracts here: takes you to cancellation. After a cancellation, this shows Undo cancellation.
Below that is the All features table with Free, Plus and Pro, switchable between Monthly and Yearly. A higher plan has Upgrade to … above it, which opens the upgrade window. What the plans include and how paying, switching and canceling work is explained under Plans.
Where your settings are stored
The terminal stores your settings, meaning keyboard shortcuts, themes, which buttons the top bar shows and the like, in your browser. When you're signed in, they're also stored in your account and apply on every device where you're signed in.
