Market widgets
Price with LED display, watchlist, position calculator, derivatives, long/short, liquidity, volume statistics and liquidations in detail.
These widgets show the market of the symbol currently on the chart, mostly live. How to add, swap and move widgets is explained in the overview. The order book, trade tape and DOM ladder are described under Order book & DOM.
Price
The current price, large and easy to read, with the 24-hour range and the most important key metrics.
Appearance options
- Simple: logo, symbol and market, below them the price as large as the column width allows, the 24-hour change in percent and in absolute terms, and a bar for the 24h range.
- Normal: the price with a colored glow (rising or falling). Digits that have just changed flash in the direction of the move, with the arrow and size of the last step next to them. Below that, the price history, 24h low and 24h high, the key metrics and the 1m buy pressure / Sell pressure bar.
- LED: In the Pixel color theme, “Normal” becomes an LED display in the style of a stock exchange board: a dot matrix with scan lines and a moving band of light, LED digits with unlit “8” segments behind them, a price history of 48 bars, the 24h range as 24 segments, a scrolling ticker with the major cryptocurrencies (BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, BNB, DOGE, LINK, AVAX, HYPE) and a BUY PRESSURE / SELL pressure gauge of 30 segments.
You turn on the Pixel theme in the profile menu under Color theme. In the widget settings, the appearance is then called LED instead of Normal.
Settings
Gear icon in the widget header:
| Setting | Choices | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Appearance | Simple, Normal (in the Pixel theme: LED) | Normal |
| Market | Perpetual, Spot | Perpetual |
| Price size | Large, Medium | Large |
| Show price history | on, off | on |
| Show key metrics | on, off | on |
Price history and key metrics are available in Normal and LED. The price history shows the last 24 hours in 5-minute closes; the last point is the current price. In LED, 48 bars take its place, one per half hour.
Buy pressure
1m buy pressure is the share of buys (aggressive buyers) in the volume traded in the last minute, across all enabled exchanges of the selected market.
Key metrics
For Perpetual:
- Mark price, Index price, Funding (with a countdown to the next payment) and Open interest. These values apply to a single exchange, whose name follows in parentheses. The average across all exchanges is in the Derivatives widget.
- 24h volume across all exchanges.
- Spread in dollars and in basis points.
For Spot: 24h volume, Spread, Perp basis (the distance of the perp price from the spot price, “Perp above spot” or “Perp below spot”) and 1h change.
What the badge means
In Normal and LED, there is a badge next to the symbol:
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| LIVE | The live data stream is running. |
| PAUSED | You have paused the live data stream (super search, “Pause live data”). |
| OFFLINE | The connection is lost. |
| CLOSED | The market isn't trading right now (stocks, futures). The tooltip shows the trading hours. |
The LED header also shows what you're looking at: PERP or SPOT for cryptocurrencies, otherwise FUTURE, ETF, INDEX, FX, STOCK or YIELD.
Watchlist
Your own symbol lists with prices and daily change.
Lists
The name of the active list is at the top of the widget. Clicking it opens all lists with the number of symbols in each. + New list creates another one; it's named “List 1”, “List 2” and so on, and the field for adding symbols opens right away.
By default, there are two lists:
- Crypto: BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, BNB, DOGE, LINK, AVAX, HYPE
- Macro & stocks: SPY, NVDA, AAPL, MSTR, COIN, DXY, US10Y, VIX, XAU, EURUSD
When you're signed in, the first list is My watchlist. It's the same list as on the mantacharts watchlist page: what you add or remove here also changes there.
Adding and removing symbols
- Click + (Add symbol).
- In “Add symbol…”, type a ticker or name. Up to six results appear.
- Click a result, or press Enter for the first one. Esc closes the field.
To remove a symbol, hover over a row and click × (Remove from list). A message with Undo brings the symbol back.
Reading and sorting
- The columns are called Symbol, Last and Chg % (change over 24 hours). Clicking a column header sorts in descending order, a second click in ascending order, and a third turns sorting off again.
- Without sorting, the rows are ordered by group: CRYPTO, STOCKS, MACRO, FOREX, COMMODITIES.
- A row lights up briefly when its price changes.
- Clicking a row opens the symbol in the chart. The row of the current chart symbol is highlighted.
- At the bottom, the chart symbol appears in detail with price, change and the Day range bar. In very short widgets and in a separate window, this part is left out.
Position calculator
Calculates how large your position can be so that you lose only as much at the stop as you want to risk.
- Choose Long or Short at the top.
- Enter Account size ($) and Risk (%). By default, they're set to 10,000 and 1.
- Entry: leave empty for the current price, or use Entry = current price to fix the price.
- Stop loss: If left empty, the calculator uses a 2% distance from the entry.
- Target (optional) for the risk/reward ratio.
- Choose the Leverage: 1×, 3×, 5×, 10× or 20× (5× by default).
The result:
| Value | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Position size | Quantity in the cryptocurrency, such as 0.1250 BTC |
| Position value | Position size times entry, in dollars |
| Risk | What you lose at the stop: account size × risk |
| Stop distance | Distance from entry to stop in percent |
| Margin at 5× | Position value divided by the leverage |
| Risk/reward | Distance to the target divided by distance to the stop, such as “1 : 2.50”. Highlighted in color from 1 : 2. |
If the stop is on the wrong side, the calculator says “For a long, the stop must be below the entry.” or, for short, “above the entry”. You can write numbers in German or English format: 10.000, 84.457,75 and 84457.75 are read correctly. Your entries stay saved in the widget.
Derivatives
Funding and open interest of the perpetuals per exchange, for the symbol on the chart.
- Avg. funding (OI-weighted): the average across all exchanges, weighted by open interest. Each exchange is first converted to 8 hours so that exchanges with hourly funding also count correctly.
- Next payment: countdown to the next funding payment, based on each exchange's own interval.
- One row per exchange, sorted by open interest: name, below it OI 24h (change in 24 hours) as well as interval and countdown, then Funding for the exchange's interval, p.a. (annualized) and OI in dollars.
Long/short positioning
How many traders are long and how many are short, per exchange and over the last 24 hours. In a narrow widget header, it's shortened to Long/Short.
Basis
Under the gear icon, you choose under Basis what is counted:
| Basis | What is counted |
|---|---|
| Accounts | Share of accounts that are net long |
| Top traders | Accounts of the largest traders |
| Positions | Position size of the largest traders |
Reading it
- At the top, the long share, the ratio “Long/Short 1.25” and the short share, below them the bar and the change in the long share over 24 hours in percentage points (“pp”).
- Net positioning · 24h: 24 hourly bars around the zero line (long share minus short share). If an hour is missing, its slot stays empty.
- Below that, a reading compared with the price: “Longs building against the falling price (absorption)”, “Shorts building against the rising price (absorption)” or “Positioning follows the price”.
- At the bottom, one row per exchange with long and short share.
The overall value is the simple average of the exchanges; each one counts equally.
Liquidity
How much liquidity sits in the order book around the current price, in bands from ±0.1% to ±10%, across all enabled exchanges combined.
- Imbalance in the ±1% band: the large number at the top. Positive with “Bids” means more buy orders, negative with “Asks” more sell orders. It's calculated as (bids − asks) / (bids + asks).
- Table: for each band (±0.1%, ±0.25%, ±0.5%, ±1%, ±2%, ±5%, ±10%), the bids and asks in dollars with bars and the imbalance.
- History: Click a row to see that band's bids and asks over time. The selected row is highlighted; by default, it's ±1%.
If History since opening appears above the history, it fills up as long as the widget is open.
Volume statistics
How much was traded, who bought and who sold, and on which exchanges.
At the top, you choose the interval: 5 min, 1 h (default), 4 h or 24 h. Below that:
- Volume of the interval in dollars.
- Aggressive buys / sells: share of buys and sells that actively took the price.
- Spot / perps: how the volume is split between spot and perpetuals.
- Delta (buys minus sells in dollars), Trades, Avg. trade size and Trades over $100K.
- Share by exchange: the six largest exchanges.
If a value says “since 14:05”, for example after Share by exchange or next to Trades over $100K, it only counts from that time on.
Liquidations
A live feed of forced closures for the symbol on the chart.
- At the top, you choose the Side (All, Longs, Shorts) and the Minimum size (All, 10K, 100K, 500K dollars).
- Longs 1h and Shorts 1h add up the last hour, with a bar for the ratio. If values for the full hour are missing, it says, for example, “since 14:05” instead of “1h”.
- Below that are the individual liquidations with Time (to the second), Symbol with LONG or SHORT and the exchange, Size and Price. From $500,000, a row is bold and colored.
The list shows what has come in since the widget was opened, from the exchanges you've enabled in the exchange aggregation. If the hourly values are still loading or aren't available, a line below the bar says so.
