Market scanner
Filter and sort all perps as a table or heatmap, with ready-made lists, sectors and the Scanner widget for the column.
The market scanner shows all perpetuals in the terminal at a glance: price, change, volume, open interest, funding and liquidations. It lets you quickly find the markets where something is happening and open them in the chart with one click.
Opening
- Top bar → Scanner
- Super search (CtrlK, Mac: CmdK) → “Open market scanner”
- In the Scanner widget → Open all markets in the scanner
- On your phone: Markets tab
Esc or × closes the scanner. List, sector, search and view are kept as long as the terminal is open.
Structure
At the top are the title Market scanner and, below it, how many perps there are, such as “41 perps”. Next to that:
- Search markets: filters by ticker or name.
- Table and Heatmap as the view.
Below that are the lists and the sectors, and at the very bottom a footer with the count (“12 of 41 markets”).
The lists
The lists are ready-made filters with their own sorting. Next to each list, you see how many markets currently match it (except for All and Liquidations).
| List | Filter | Sorted by |
|---|---|---|
| All | all markets | volume, descending |
| Top gainers | 24h change above 0 | 24h, largest gain first |
| Top losers | 24h change below 0 | 24h, largest loss first |
| High funding | funding of +0.01% or more per 8 hours | funding, descending |
| Negative funding | funding below 0 | funding, most negative first |
| OI increase | open interest up 3% or more in 24 hours | OI 24h, descending |
| Volume outliers | RVOL of 1.8× or more | RVOL, descending |
| Liquidations | all markets with liquidation data | Liq. 24h, descending |
To the right, you filter by sector: All sectors, Layer 1, Layer 2, DeFi, Memes, AI and Infrastructure.
If no market currently matches the filter, the scanner says “No market matches this filter right now. Choose another sector or “All”.” If a list is currently missing its data, the scanner gives the reason instead.
The table
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| # | Rank by 24h volume among all markets |
| Market | Logo, ticker and name |
| Price | Current price |
| 1h | Change in the last hour |
| 24h | Change in 24 hours |
| 7 days | Price history of the last seven days |
| 24h volume | Traded volume across all exchanges |
| RVOL | Volume relative to the 30-day average; highlighted from 2× |
| Open interest | Open positions in dollars |
| OI 24h | Change in open interest in 24 hours |
| Funding | Funding rate per 8 hours, also for exchanges with a different interval |
| Liq. 24h | Liquidations in 24 hours, with a bar: red longs, green shorts |
For #, RVOL, Funding and Liq. 24h, a tooltip on the column header explains what the column shows.
Sorting: Clicking a column header sorts by that column (numbers descending, Market from A to Z), a second click reverses the direction, and a third returns to the list's sorting. Markets without a value are always at the end.
Clicking a row closes the scanner and opens the market in the chart. The row of the current chart symbol is highlighted. The table needs about 1,000 pixels of width; in narrower windows, it scrolls sideways.
The heatmap
The heatmap shows the same markets as tiles, with all filters, sectors and the search.
- Color: what the tiles are colored by: 24h, Funding, OI 24h or RVOL. The legend shows the scale (for 24h about −8% to +8%, for RVOL 1× to 3×).
- Size: what the tiles are ordered by: Volume or Open interest.
The largest tile belongs to the market with the highest value, and the next ones follow in smaller sizes: one very large, one large, four medium, eight half-size, all others small. The size depends only on the rank, not on the exact value, so that every tile stays legibly labeled. Hover over a tile to see 24h, volume, OI and funding. Clicking one opens the market in the chart.
The Scanner widget
The Scanner widget brings a scanner list into the widget column.
- At the top, you choose the list with chips: Top gainers, Top losers, High funding, Negative funding, OI increase, Volume outliers, Liquidations. Top gainers by default.
- The table shows #, Market, Price and the metric the list sorts by (such as 24h or funding).
- Clicking a row opens the market in the chart.
- Open all markets in the scanner opens the large scanner with the same list, across all sectors and without a search.
Under the gear icon, you set List and Count (8, 12 or 20 markets, 12 by default). The list is also shown in small type in the widget header.
Missing values
A missing value appears as “–”, never as 0, and doesn't match any filter.
