Getting startedThe interface

The interface

Top bar, drawing toolbar, chart with legend, footer bar, widget columns and panels at a glance.

The terminal is divided into fixed areas. The top bar runs along the top, the drawing toolbar sits on the left, and the chart is in the middle with the footer bar below it. To its left and right are the widget columns, and panels such as Code or Layers dock on the far right.

The top bar

On the left, from left to right:

  • Symbol button: logo, name and ticker of the symbol, with the category above it (for example CRYPTO or STOCKS). A click opens the symbol search.
  • + (Compare symbol): overlays another symbol as a line on the chart. See Compare and multi-chart.
  • Exchange aggregation: shows “AGGREGATED” and how many exchanges the chart combines. Details under Order flow.
  • Chart type and Timeframe: the display and, to its right, the interval (for example 1h). See Chart types and intervals.
  • Indicators (with the number of active indicators), Multi-chart, Replay, the Undo and Redo arrows, Analyses, Scanner, Journal and Snapshot.

On the right:

  • Widgets: add widgets and choose the arrangement.
  • MantaAI and Layers: open the respective panel at the right edge.
  • Fullscreen (ShiftF): the terminal fills the screen.
  • Layout: opens the layout browser. Next to it is the name of your current layout; if you move the mouse over it, the menu with recently used layouts and workspaces 1 to 9 opens.
  • Save (CtrlS): saves to the open layout, otherwise as a new layout.

Customize the bar

A right-click on an empty spot of the top bar opens TOP BAR:

  1. Check the buttons you want to see (Indicators, Multi-chart, Replay, Analyses, Scanner, Journal, Snapshot, Widgets, Code, Layers, Layout).
  2. Under Label, choose Auto, Always or Icons only.
  3. Restore defaults resets everything.

If the terminal gets narrower than 1600 px, the labels collapse and open when you hover over them. With Icons only, they always stay closed, even on hover. If there's still not enough room, buttons move into the More menu (the three dots), Journal and Snapshot first. Below 1360 px those two are always there. More also holds Alerts (with the number of active alerts) and News.

The drawing toolbar

The narrow bar to the left of the chart contains eight tool groups, Measure and Zoom in, plus the modes Magnet, Stay in drawing mode, Lock, Hide, Sync, Remove objects and the favorites toolbar. A click on a group picks its last used tool, the small arrow next to it expands all tools of the group. Everything about this is in Drawing tools.

The chart

  • Legend (top left): name and interval, plus open, high, low, close and change of the candle under the crosshair. Below that are compared symbols and the indicators on the price chart. If you move over a row, an eye (hide), gear (settings) and trash can (remove) appear. A double-click on a row opens its settings.
  • Indicator panes below the price, for example open interest: each pane has a header with name and values. On hover, eye, gear, remove and collapse appear. Drag the divider between two panes to change the height; a double-click in the pane opens its settings.
  • Price axis on the right and time axis at the bottom: drag, double-click and right-click, see Scale and view.

A new terminal starts with Bitcoin on 1h, candles and the open interest pane.

  • Time ranges on the left: 1D, 5D, 1M, 3M, 6M, YTD, 1Y, 5Y and All frame the chart to that range. Ranges that don't fit the interval are grayed out.
  • Clock in your time zone, with the zone after it (for example UTC+2).
  • %, log and auto: percent scale, logarithmic scale and automatic scaling.

The widget columns

By default, Order book and Trade tape are on the right, and the left column is empty. Each side holds up to four widgets.

  • Drag the column's edge to change its width (260 to 560 px); a double-click resets it.
  • Drag the divider between two widgets to change a widget's height.
  • If the terminal is too narrow, a column collapses into a toolbar so the chart stays at least 440 px wide. A click opens it over the chart.

How to add, move, swap and detach widgets into their own window is explained under Widgets & modules.

Panels

MantaAI, Layers and the Theme editor dock at the right edge. Only one is open at a time. Drag the panel's left edge to change its width (from 300 px), and Esc in the panel closes it. Code is described under CoinScript, Layers under Indicators, the theme editor under Account & settings.

Dialogs, notices and undo

  • Searches, the command palette, chart settings, Snapshot, Scanner and Journal open as dialogs over the terminal. Esc closes them.
  • Short notices appear at the bottom center. Where something was removed, they show Undo.
  • Undo (CtrlZ) and Redo (CtrlY) apply to the whole workspace: drawings, indicators, widgets, interval, chart type, settings and comparisons. The terminal remembers up to 80 steps.
