ChartSnapshots

Snapshots

Save the chart as an image, add a border and a note, copy it and share it by link on X or Telegram.

A snapshot is an image of your chart as it looks right now: with indicators, drawings and all charts of a multi-chart grid. You can download it, copy it or share it as a link.

Open the snapshot dialog

  • Top bar → Snapshot (in narrow windows under More),
  • AltS (Mac: OptionS),
  • Super search (CtrlK) → Create chart snapshot.

The “Chart snapshot” dialog shows the preview with the image size below it on the left, and the settings on the right. The crosshair disappears before the capture, even if you press AltS over the chart.

Settings

SettingWhat it does
FORMATOriginal (as on the chart), 16:9 (for X and Telegram) or 1:1 (for Instagram). With a border, the border grows to the format; without a border, the chart gets a margin.
AREAonly with several charts in a multi-chart: Whole desk captures all charts, Active chart only the main chart. In the 1:1 format, the dialog suggests the active chart, because a single chart looks larger in a square.
STYLEthe color of the border: Performance (green when up, red when down), Rank (the color of your rank) or Neutral. Only with a border.
Borderat the top logo, symbol, interval, name and time; at the bottom the mantacharts logo. On by default.
Widgetsincludes the open widget columns to the left and right of the chart in the image, such as order book and trade tape, as they look right now. Off by default; can't be selected without open widgets.
Price and changeprice and change at the top right. On by default.
Key metricshigh, low and volume of the last 24 hours below the header. Off by default.
Authoryour name, your picture and your rank at the bottom of the border. Only when signed in.
Invite codeyour referral code with a QR code at the bottom right. Only when signed in.
Watermarkthe mantacharts logo and wordmark on the chart. You can turn it off with Plus; without Plus it stays on, and a click opens the upgrade window.
NOTEa short comment, 140 characters at most. It appears in the image above the chart, on several lines if needed, but only with a border.

Without a border, the chart carries a small badge with the mantacharts logo and address at the bottom left.

The preview updates right away, for the note shortly after you type.

Save, copy and share

ButtonWhat happens
Downloadsaves the image as a PNG file, for example mantacharts_BTC_1h_20261009-1430.png.
Copyputs the image on the clipboard. If the browser doesn't allow that, the terminal says: “Copying isn't allowed. Please download instead.”
Linkuploads the image and copies the link to the snapshot page.
Xopens X with text and link, for example “BTC/USDT · 1 hour on mantacharts: Breakout above the weekly high”.
Telegramopens Telegram with the same text and link.

At the bottom of the dialog is the link with a Copy button. Until you copy or share, it says “The link is created when you copy or share”: only then is the image uploaded, and the border now carries the snapshot's link (if the invite code is on, your code appears there instead). If you then change the format, border, watermark or note, the next share creates a new link.

The snapshot page

The link leads to a page of its own with the image, your note, symbol, interval and date, and the Open in chart button, which opens the symbol in the terminal (for a ratio or spread, the first of the two symbols). The page needs no sign-in, and X and Telegram show the image in their preview. Your name doesn't appear on it.

Warning. Anyone with the link can see the image. You currently can't delete a shared snapshot in the terminal. So only share what may be public.

To upload, you must be signed in. If you aren't, or if the upload fails, the dialog shows Link to the chart instead of “Link to the snapshot”. This link opens the terminal with the symbol, the interval, candles or line, the log scale, the visible indicators with their settings and your drawings. If the chart no longer fits into a link, for example because of a very large number of drawings, the terminal says: “The link could not be created.”

Limits

  • At most 30 snapshots per hour (“Too many snapshots in a short time.”).
  • At most 500 snapshots in total (“You've reached the maximum of 500 snapshots.”).
  • The terminal scales very large images down before uploading until they are 3 MB at most. The downloaded file stays at full size.

Downloading and copying the image don't count, only uploaded snapshots.

Quick screenshot

Right-click the chart → Save screenshot downloads the chart as a PNG right away, without a dialog: in the Original format, without a border and with a watermark, unless your plan removes it. The file is named, for example, mantacharts_BTC_1h.png. In the super search, the command is called Save chart screenshot.

Snapshots in Replay

In Replay, the snapshot shows the state at the replay time. The date in the border is that of the last visible candle, with the addition “Replay”.
