GlossaryBTC Ultimate Signal Indicator

BTC Ultimate Signal Indicator

Three building blocks in one pane: the Trendfinder's trend signal (main line), the Short-Term Risk Score and the z-standardized Stablecoin Supply Ratio. A buy or sell signal requires all three to trigger on the same candle, which makes these signals very rare.

How to read it

Read the three lines individually: the sign of the trend signal gives the direction, the risk score the short-term overheating, the SSR the buying power on the sidelines. All three coinciding on one candle is so rare that a chart may not show a single signal for years.

Limitations

  • Long warm-up: The trend signal needs about 3,000 candles of lead-in (1,000 for the normalization, 2,000 for the dispersion comparison). On daily candles that is a good eight years; on short stretches of history the main line stays empty.
  • Path-dependent: The learned weights depend on the entire loaded history. If the chart loads older candles, the trend signal can change at the same point.
  • SSR warm-up: The SSR line only starts when both market caps are available for a full SSR window.
  • Bitcoin only, meant for daily to weekly charts.
