ATH Drawdown
The percentage distance of the close from the running all-time high. The curve shows at a glance how far a market sits below its record and colors that distance by market phase.
Zones
| Zone | Range |
|---|---|
| Near ATH | −10 to 0% |
| Correction | −30 to −10% |
| Bear market | −60 to −30% |
| Capitulation | below −60% |
Reference lines sit at 0, −20, −40, −60, −80 and −100%.
How to read it
What matters is the time spent there, not the touch: a single close below −60% is not yet a cycle low, while several months below it have always been one for Bitcoin so far. The curve is capped at zero on the upside; at a new high, it says nothing about how overheated that high is.
Also keep the way back in mind. The return needed to reach the all-time high is
From −50% it takes +100%, from −80% as much as +400%.
Good to know
- Runs on every symbol and on all intervals from 1h up.
- A single wick sets the all-time high: a brief spike upward pushes all following values down.
