AlertsNotifications
Notifications
Where an alert reports to, how to connect Discord, Telegram, email and push, what a webhook looks like and what “Send test” checks.
In the alert dialog, the Notifications tab sets where each alert reports to. Each channel has a toggle. Channels that aren't connected yet show Connect instead.
The channels
| Channel | What you receive | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Show in the terminal | Popup “Alert triggered · …” and an entry in the history | none |
| Play sound | A short beep | none |
| Discord DM | Direct message from the mantacharts bot | signed in, Discord connected |
| Push notification | Browser notification, even with the terminal closed | signed in, push allowed on the device |
| Email to your confirmed address | signed in, email confirmed | |
| Telegram | Message from the mantacharts bot | signed in, Telegram connected |
| Webhook | A POST with JSON to your own URL | signed in |
Popup and sound only work in an open terminal. All other channels need an account. When you're signed out, only Show in the terminal and Play sound remain.
A new alert starts with Show in the terminal, Play sound, Discord DM and Push notification, as far as you have them connected.
When you're signed in, each trigger also lands in the profile menu under Notifications.
Connect channels
You connect Discord, Telegram, email and push once for your account, under Profile menu → Connections. A click on Connect in the alert dialog takes you there too. If a channel shows Coming soon, you can't use it yet.
Discord
- Open Profile menu → Connections.
- In the Discord section, click Connect Discord.
- You land on Discord and confirm access. Afterwards it says “Connected as @your-name”.
Alerts then arrive as a direct message from the mantacharts bot. If your Discord doesn't allow direct messages from server members, nothing arrives, and Send test reports “Discord DMs are disabled for this member.” If you sign in with Discord, the connection can't be removed while it's your only sign-in method.
Telegram
- Under Profile menu → Connections → Telegram, click Connect.
- Telegram opens with the mantacharts bot. Tap Start there. The code in the link is valid for 15 minutes.
- The bot replies “Connected. Your mantacharts alerts will arrive here from now on.”
To disconnect, click Disconnect in the connections or send the bot /stop. If the code has expired, the bot says so. Then create a new one with Connect.
- Under Profile menu → Connections → Email, click Connect.
- You get an email at your account's address. Click Confirm email in it. The link is valid for 24 hours.
- Back in the terminal, you see “Email confirmed. Alerts can now be sent by email.”
Alerts always go to your account's email address. Disconnect turns email alerts off again.
Push
Push applies per device and browser. There are three ways to turn on push:
- in the alert dialog, turn on the Push notification toggle,
- under Profile menu → Connections → Push, click Connect,
- in the super search (CtrlK), choose “Enable push notifications”.
Your browser then asks whether mantacharts may show notifications. If you allow it, the terminal reports “Push is active on this device.” Repeat this on every device where you want push. The connections show how many devices are registered, such as “Connected · 2 devices”.
A click on a push notification opens the alert's chart. Disconnect in the connections turns push off on all devices.
Webhook
With a webhook, mantacharts sends every trigger to an address of your own, such as a trading bot, an automation tool or your own server.
- On the Notifications tab, turn on the Webhook channel.
- Enter your address under Webhook URL.
- Below it, Payload (POST, JSON) shows exactly what is sent.
The URL must start with https://. Credentials in the URL (https://name:passwort@…) and private or internal addresses aren't allowed. The dialog tells you when you save if something is wrong.
This is what a trigger looks like:
{
"alert": "BTCUSD kreuzt 85.000,00",
"symbol": "BTCUSD",
"source": "Preis",
"condition": "Kreuzt",
"value": 85000,
"price": 85012.5,
"time": "2026-10-18T09:42:05.000Z"
}alertis the alert's name,symbolthe symbol as the terminal shows it.sourceandconditionuse the wording of the dialog, for script alerts for example “Script · Delta-EMA” and the signal's title.valueis the alert's threshold,pricethe price at the trigger,timethe time in UTC.
mantacharts sends the webhook as a POST with Content-Type: application/json. Your address has 5 seconds to respond. On network errors, timeouts and the status codes 408, 429 and 5xx, mantacharts retries up to three times, after 1, 2 and 4 seconds. mantacharts doesn't follow redirects.
Message
In the Message field, write your own text, up to 500 characters. It appears in the popup (“Alert triggered · your message”) and as the text in Discord, Telegram, email and push. If you leave the field empty, the alert's name appears there, or a sentence such as “Price alert for BTC triggered.” Discord, Telegram and email also include the price at the trigger and a link to the chart.
Send test
Send test sends a sample to all of the alert's enabled channels, without saving it. The result appears in the popup, for example “Test sent to: Show in the terminal, Telegram · Not delivered: Discord DM (Discord DMs are disabled for this member.)”.
Tests are limited to 5 per minute and 30 per day. For Discord, Telegram, email, push and webhook, you must be signed in.
Limits
- If your terminal reports a very large number of triggers, mantacharts delivers at most 20 per minute and 500 per day per account to the channels.
- Push needs a browser that supports web push. Otherwise the terminal reports “This browser doesn't support push notifications.”
- The sound only plays in an open terminal. Some browsers only play sounds after you've clicked on the page once.
