GlossaryCrypto holdings

Crypto holdings

How many Bitcoin, Ether or other coins the company holds, as a line directly on the chart above the candles, with its own scale, from the first purchase on: for Strategy since August 2020, for Metaplanet since April 2024, for BitMine since July 2025. Every buy and sell is a step; a new one appears on the day the company announces it.

What is drawn

The line is a staircase: it stays on one holding until the company buys or sells, then jumps to the new one. Each step sits on the day of the announcement, with a filled dot. After the last report, the holding runs on to the newest candle, because it stands until something changes.

It counts in coins, not dollars: this shows you how strongly a company is building up its holdings, regardless of how the coin price moves. mNAV shows the dollar value relative to the market cap.

Good to know

  • For companies in the “Bitcoin & Mining” group: treasury companies, miners and other firms with coins on their balance sheet. If a company holds none, the entry appears in the menu with “no data”.
  • In replay, the line shows only the buys and sells up to the replay time.
