DCA Performance Tool
The DCA Performance Tool compares the symbol's performance since January 1, 2015 with the S&P 500, the Nasdaq 100 and the purchasing power of the US dollar. All four series start at 100, so you can see at a glance what has multiplied the most since then.
How to read it
| Line | Color |
|---|---|
| Symbol | green above 100, red below 100 |
| S&P 500 | gray |
| Nasdaq 100 | blue |
| USD purchasing power | red |
- Above 100, a series is above its starting level; 300 means triple the value. The bold line at 100 is the starting level.
- The highest line has multiplied the most since the start. If the symbol is below the indices, an index investment would have returned more.
- If returns are orders of magnitude apart, as with Bitcoin versus stock indices, the comparison lines crowd together at the bottom edge of the pane.
Good to know
- The S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 are price indices. Dividends are not included; with reinvested dividends, both would be higher.
- Purchasing power is an approximation via the money supply, not via consumer prices. The money supply has grown faster than prices since 2015, so the line shows a greater loss of purchasing power than the inflation rate does.
- The start date of January 1, 2015 is fixed.
- Intended for 1D to 1W.
