MobileIndicators and widgets

Indicators and widgets

Indicators and the legend on your phone, the widget bar below the chart, and how to add and swap widgets.

On your phone you see the same indicators and widgets as on a computer. Because there's less room, the terminal shows them differently: the legend collapsed, the widgets one at a time below the chart.

Indicators

How to open the indicators menu:

  • the indicators icon in the chart's top bar (the number next to it counts your active indicators)
  • Menu → Indicators

The menu fills the full height between the top bar and the tabs. It works as on a computer: search, filter by category, add to the chart with + Add.

The legend

At the top left of the chart, the legend shows only its first row with the price values. The symbol's name is missing, since it's already in the top bar. Below it sits a small button, such as “2 indicators”. A tap on it expands the remaining rows, and the button then reads Less. It counts the rows the button expands, that is, comparison symbols and indicators in the price pane, not indicators in their own sub-panes.

If the legend shows the Data source button on a computer, it also appears at the start of the row on your phone.

Widgets

The widget bar

Below the chart is a bar with one button per widget from your two columns, the left column first. Not included are Watchlist and Ideas, which have their own tabs, and widgets you've hidden through Layers. If you have two order books or two trade tapes, the market is shown too, such as “Order book · Spot”.

Without widgets, it says “Order book, tape and more widgets”. The plus on the right opens Add widget.

Open a widget

  1. Tap a widget in the widget bar.
  2. It opens below the chart and takes up just under half of the height.
  3. Above the widget, use the buttons to switch to another widget. + Widget adds one.
  4. Collapse closes the widget, and the bar is back.

In the widget's header you find the same controls as on a computer: the title opens the menu with SWAP WITH, the gear opens the settings, the X removes the widget. If you swap a widget for another, the terminal shows the new one right away.

Note. On a phone, you can't rearrange widgets by dragging or open them in their own window. A widget that's currently running in its own window on a computer isn't shown on your phone. For Watchlist and Ideas, the page then offers Bring back.

Add a widget

Open the Add widget sheet with the plus in the widget bar, + Widget above an open widget or Menu → Widgets. Widgets that are already there have a check mark. You can add Order book and Trade tape more than once.

Watchlist and ideas

The Watchlist and Ideas tabs show these widgets at full height. If you remove one with the X or hide it through Layers, the page offers Add or Show.

A symbol you tap in the watchlist, the scanner or an idea opens its chart directly.

Paper trading

Menu → Paper trading adds the paper trading widget if it's missing and opens it below the chart.

Tip. The widgets on your phone are the same as in your columns on a computer. What you add, remove or set up here shows up on your computer, and vice versa.
