MantaAi
The terminal’s assistant sees your chart, reads prices, order flow and analyses, changes the chart and builds indicators and layouts, through your own access to Claude or GPT.
MantaAi is the mantacharts assistant. It answers your questions about the market with the terminal’s data, explains features and indicators, changes your chart and builds indicators and whole layouts for you. MantaAi is part of Plus and Pro.
Where to find MantaAi
- MantaAi in the left sidebar opens the chat across the whole page.
- In the Charts tab, MantaAi in the bar above the chart opens the panel at the right edge, with MantaAi as its first tab. There, MantaAi sees what you see and can change your chart.
Both show the same chats.
Your own access
MantaAi runs through your own access to an AI provider, never through a mantacharts quota:
- You connect your own API key from Anthropic (for Claude) or OpenAI (for GPT).
- Your questions go from your browser directly to the provider, not through mantacharts.
- Your provider bills you for the costs, at its own prices. mantacharts charges nothing for this.
- The key is stored only in this browser, not in your mantacharts account. On another device or in another browser, you connect it again.
A subscription such as Claude Pro or ChatGPT Plus does not replace the API key. The providers bill their subscriptions and their API separately.
Connect Claude or GPT
- Create an API key: for Claude at console.anthropic.com, for GPT at platform.openai.com. For this you need an account with the provider with credit or a saved payment method.
- Choose Claude or GPT at the top right of MantaAi.
- Paste your key in the Connect Claude or Connect GPT dialog. Anthropic keys start with
sk-ant-. - Leave Model (optional) empty, and MantaAi uses the default model. If you want a specific model, enter its name as the provider writes it.
- Click Connect.
A dot next to the name shows which provider is connected. Disconnect next to it removes the chosen provider’s key from this browser. You can switch between Claude and GPT at any time, even in the middle of a chat: the other provider carries on from the chat so far as text.
Asking questions
Type what you want to know into the field, in your language: MantaAi answers in the language you ask in. Enter sends the question, ShiftEnter starts a new line. An empty chat shows suggestions you can click.
- + attaches a picture: next to the chart a snapshot of the chart, everywhere a picture from your device. You can also paste pictures with CtrlV, up to four per question.
- The microphone dictates your question if your browser supports speech input.
- While MantaAi is answering, the button on the right stops the answer.
Above every answer, Thought for shows how long MantaAi thought and what it read along the way. A click unfolds the steps.
What MantaAi can read
MantaAi reads what the terminal has, and nothing outside it:
- Prices and charts: current prices, candles on any timeframe, the usual indicators (RSI, MACD, moving averages, Bollinger, ATR, volume) and the market scanner.
- Order flow: the order book in fine and coarse steps with its supports and resistances, buys and sells, liquidations, funding and open interest of crypto symbols.
- Companies and macro: stock fundamentals, the terminal’s macro series, the economic calendar and the news.
- mantacharts itself: this documentation, the indicators and their explanations, CoinScript, the analyses and your own layouts, scripts, alerts and watchlists. MantaAi reads an analysis in full only if you can read it in full too.
Where it fits, MantaAi shows a piece of the terminal in the answer, live as in the widgets: the price with its indicators, the order book, the liquidations, the trade tape or the company figures. A symbol in an answer opens its chart.
Next to the chart
In the panel next to the chart, MantaAi sees what you see: the symbol, the timeframe, the chart type, the time window in view and its candles, your indicators with their values, your widgets with what they show right now, and your drawings. If it needs to, it looks at the chart as a picture. So just ask: “What is happening with the price here?”
MantaAi can also act there itself, and tells you afterwards what it changed:
- Change the symbol, timeframe, chart type, scale and the time window in view
- Add and remove indicators and change any of their settings
- Open, close and set up widgets
- Draw supports, resistances and zones on the chart
- Run the terminal’s commands, such as starting replay
CtrlZ takes back any change.
Inspect
Inspect at the top of the panel works like the element picker in your browser’s developer tools. The part under the pointer lights up, a click marks it, a second click removes the mark. You can mark the chart, a single indicator window and widgets, several at once too. A click on the chart remembers the candle under the pointer. Esc ends marking.
What you marked stands above the input and goes along with your next question, as it looks at that moment, the chart also as a picture.
Building indicators and layouts
Say what you need, for example “Build me an indicator that shows the moon phases on Bitcoin” or “Create a layout for order flow on ETH”.
- Indicator: If a fitting one exists, MantaAi takes it and sets it up. Otherwise it writes a script and runs it on real candles. That run also checks whether it looks right on the chart: in the terminal’s colours, readable and without pushing the candles aside. Only then is it saved.
- Layout: MantaAi knows all widgets, indicators, chart types and settings and puts together what fits your market and your plan, with several charts if you like.
What MantaAi builds is in My scripts or My layouts straight away.
| Where you ask | What happens |
|---|---|
| Next to the chart | It is on the chart straight away. The card at the end of the answer shows what was built, Undo takes it out again, Open in the editor shows a script in the editor |
| On the MantaAi page | Your terminal stays as it is. The answer ends with a card, and a click on it opens it in the Charts tab |
View code shows an indicator’s script. Whether it calculates what you mean is best checked on the chart.
Alerts and watchlists: drafts
Alerts and changes to your watchlists reach beyond this screen. So they come as a draft in the answer, and only your click creates them:
| Draft | What you can do with it |
|---|---|
| Alert | Create alert |
| Watchlist | Apply: adds the symbols or removes them |
Dismiss closes a draft without creating anything.
Revising a script on the chart
When one of your scripts is on the chart, the legend and the header of its window show the AI icon (“Edit with MantaAi”). It opens the MantaAi panel on MantaAi, with the script in the editor. MantaAi then knows its code, and you can follow up: “Turn this into a histogram” or “Add an alertcondition for the signal”. Add to chart then updates this script on the chart instead of adding a second one.
Your chats
Your chats are kept in your account, without attached pictures, so you find them on every device. History at the top lists them, the pen next to it starts a new chat, × next to a chat deletes it. You can keep up to 300 chats; if you delete your account, they go with it.
What goes to the provider
With every question, the provider you chose receives:
- your question, the chat so far and attached pictures,
- next to the chart, what is on your screen: symbol, timeframe, time window, indicators, what your widgets show and what you marked, plus the name of your layout and the code in the editor,
- the terminal’s data MantaAi reads for the answer, such as prices, the order book or your layouts,
- fixed instructions that explain the terminal and CoinScript to the model.
Your API key goes only to that provider. What the provider does with the requests is governed by its own terms.

For GPT, the same messages appear with “GPT”.
Limits
- MantaAi can be wrong. Check numbers on the chart and every indicator before you rely on it.
- MantaAi gives no buy or sell recommendations. It shows what the data says and how you can read it yourself.
- MantaAi reads nothing outside the terminal: no web search, no other sites.
- What CoinScript cannot do, MantaAi cannot build as an indicator either. See Language.
